COVID-19 Update, Delivery, Purchase and Privacy Policy

COVID-19 Delivery Information

During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Gatto Flowers is continuing to operate under the strict guidelines outlined by the Provincial Government. We are following all protocols provided to ensure the safety of our customers and employees. We are able to provide curbside pickup at our Mississauga warehouse location or contactless delivery. For details on delivery, please see below.

  • For most residential deliveries, we will leave the arrangement at the door, knock or ring the doorbell. If no answer, we will attempt to call the recipient.  If the recipient is not home, the arrangement will be left in an agreed upon area.
  • For apartment buildings, flowers will be left with the concierge. Please ensure you provide a buzzer number or proper information to contact the recipient. If there is no concierge, we will contact the recipient directly. We will not deliver beyond the concierge front area in the building. If recipient is not home, the arrangement will be left in an agreed area.
  • For business deliveries, flowers will be left at main reception.
  • We will not return to an address if recipients are away.
  • No deliveries to hospitals at this time
  • No deliveries to nursing homes, retirement homes/long-term care facilities at this time.
  • No deliveries to medical offices or clinics at this time.

 

Delivery

Orders placed Monday to Friday by 10:00am can be delivered on the same day in our local delivery areas. We do not guarantee same day delivery outside the local area. Please refer to the delivery area map for details. Any order placed after 10:00am will be delivered the next business day or the day chosen. For Saturday deliveries, please ensure orders are placed by 12:00pm the day before. Orders placed on Sunday will be delivered on Monday. Please see our delivery policy for all the details.

 

Substitution

We strive to retain the value and the integrity of every item ordered, paying particular attention to colour scheme and premium flower varieties. Substitutions may be necessary to ensure your arrangement or specialty gift is delivered in a timely manner. The utmost care and attention is given to your order to ensure that it is as similar as possible to the requested item. Please see our Substitution Policy.  

 

Shipping Terms

  • Orders placed Monday to Friday by 10:00am can be delivered on the same day in our local delivery areas.  We do not guarantee same day delivery outside the local area. Please refer to the delivery area map for details.  
  • Any order placed after 10:00am will be delivered the next business day or the day chosen.
  • For Saturday deliveries, please ensure orders are placed by 12:00pm the day before.
  • No Sunday deliveries available – only during peak holiday time periods or where otherwise stated
  • Any orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Monday or day chosen, unless otherwise stated. 
  • We cannot always guarantee AM or PM delivery times but are always willing to do our best to meet your time-of-day requests, whenever possible, except for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. 
  • During busy holiday times, we always recommend placing your order well in advance. Valentine's and Mother's Day are generally the busiest flower-giving times during the year. For Mother's Day in particular, we recommend choosing a delivery date on the Friday or Saturday before Mother's Day. 
  • During peak holiday periods, cut off times for placing orders may vary
  • Delivery and taxes are not included in the price of the arrangement and will be applied at checkout.
  • All prices are in Canadian Dollars
  • When you order online, you will receive an immediate online receipt to print and retain for your records. You will also receive a receipt by e-mail. Please review for accuracy and contact us immediately of any errors. 

 

Pick Up

  • Pick up option is available from our Mississauga Location at 6850 Pacific Circle Mississauga, ON L5T 1N8.
  • Pick up Option Available Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. No weekend pickup available unless otherwise agreed.  Please call us at 905-670-0636 for alternative options if available.

 

    Funeral arrangements

    Funeral arrangements may require additional lead-time. If your sympathy or funeral order requires delivery at a specific time of day see below:

    • Monday Morning Delivery - Order by Saturday at 12:00pm noon
    • Morning Delivery Tuesday through Friday - Order by 2:00pm the day before
    • Afternoon Delivery Monday through Friday - Orders must be placed with a 5 hour lead-time
    • For Saturday Delivery – Order by 12:00pm the day before
    • For Sunday Delivery – please call us at 905-670-0636 

       

      Residential Deliveries

      • If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the floral arrangements in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return or attempt delivery the next day. During the holidays, deliveries may be made as late as 7:00 p.m.
      • Gatto Flowers requires a phone number for the recipient as we may call the recipient to schedule delivery

         

        Business Deliveries

        • We will deliver to the front reception area and not directly to the person
        • If the business is closed or not accepting deliveries, delivery will be attempted the next business day.
        • During the holiday periods deliveries may be made as late as 5:00 p.m.
        • Phone number is required as we may call to schedule delivery

           

          Hospital Deliveries

          • Deliveries cannot be made to Intensive Care Units (ICU) or the Critical Care Units (CCU) of hospitals because most hospitals don't allow it. We will hold the order until the person is released into a regular room. It is the sender’s responsibility to contact Gatto Flowers to ensure delivery of the flowers is made on the appropriate day. 
          • For recipients in regular rooms, Please ensure the recipient is still in the hospital before scheduling the delivery. If delivery is made and the recipient cannot accept the floral arrangements, the sender will be required to pay an additional delivery charge to deliver to an alternative address.
          • Please note that our delivery drivers are often not allowed to take a flower order directly to the recipient's room in hospitals, hotels, and in some businesses or military installations. Due to the unique nature of these deliveries, we will gladly provide delivery to the reception desk or suitable equivalent. 

             

            Our Policy

            Flowers 

            • There shall be no substitution in type of arrangement; that is, no change in size or shape.
            • In arrangements of assorted flowers, the colours shown online will be used if at all possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or greater value.
            • For one-of-a-kind flower arrangements, such as all roses or all lilies, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another colour.
            • If the floral container shown online is not available, a similar container will be used.
            • When a seasonal flower is not available, similar flowers may be substituted. 

               

              Cancellations

              To provide you with the best possible service, you can cancel your order at any time prior to shipping. However, if your order is en route or delivered, we will be unable to cancel the order.

                  Returns

                  • To provide you with the best possible service, you can return your order for replacement or refund. Please call us within 24 hours of receiving your product.
                  • If you have received a defective product, we will replace that product to your satisfaction. To receive replacement product, please call us at 905-670-0636. Please call us within 24 hours of receiving your product. 

                   

                  Promotions

                  Occasionally, we extend various offers or special sale pricing to our customers. We strive to present a variety of offers to meet the varying needs and interests of our customers. Please note that individual offers may not be combined with other offers, and offers may not be applied to prior purchases.                     Credit Card Process

                    Gatto Flowers bills your credit card at the point of sale to ensure that the gift you've chosen will be reserved until delivery.

                    Once you click "Place Order" in the check-out process, Gatto Flowers will attempt to secure authorization on your credit card. If there is a problem securing this authorization, you'll be notified and prompted to use another credit card.

                     

                    Privacy Policy

                    This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Gatto Flowers collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users. This privacy policy applies to the site and all products and services offered by Gatto Flowers.

                     

                    PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

                    We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site.
